The Effects of Spirituality and Church Community on Mental Health

On Sunday, September 17, Dr. Harold Koenig will be teaching on the effects of spirituality and church community on mental health. This event is open to the public and all are welcome to join us at 4pm in Aldersgate Hall.

Dr. Koenig is currently the Professor of Psychiatry and Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke University Health Systems. He is also the Director of Duke University’s Center for Spirituality, Theology, and Health. Dr. Koenig will be presenting research documenting the role that faith and religious community plays in the prevention and treatment of mental, social, behavioral, and physical health problems. During this event we hope many will be inspired to devote more time to spiritual and religious communities, not just for survival, but to thrive.

Registration is not required for this event.
