Christmas Eve services are a long standing tradition in many churches! Front Street United Methodist Church is proud to offer two services on the afternoon of Christmas Eve, and you are invited to both.
Both services will hold communion and candle lighting as part of the Christmas Eve Celebrations.
The 2pm* service in Aldersgate Hall will celebrate the Christmas story with excitement, with the help of children and others bringing the story to life!
The 7pm service in the Sanctuary will celebrate the Christmas story with reflection and wonder, and send us forward to the new year with a fresh perception. A nursery will be available.
Alternatively, join us online for both of our services, which will be available for streaming.
*What to Know About Our 2:00 PM Family Service!
Join us for a joyful Family Christmas Eve Service filled with wonder and celebration! Children and grandchildren are invited to dress up as angels, shepherds, sheep, donkeys, or cows (costumes provided or bring your own). They’ll have the chance to participate in worship at the Prayground, visit the stable, sing beloved Christmas songs, and celebrate the birth of Jesus!
Arrive at 1:45 PM to get dressed up—costumes will be available in the Aldersgate Hallway—and enjoy some festive Christmas treats before the service begins.
Please note: A nursery will not be available during this service, as we encourage families to worship together in this special celebration of Christ’s birth.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
In case of inclement weather, the church office will follow the delays and closures of the City of Burlington.
For worship services, any cancellations will be publicized on Facebook, our website, and FOX8.
